Hello and thanks for thinking about being a guest on our Living Life Differently podcast! We interview women who are Living Life Differently – women who are living differently to ‘the norm’. If this is you and you’d like to be interviewed for a future episode then get in touch.
Some guests ask us in advance ‘What questions are you going to ask?’. This really depends on your own story and if you would like to know questions in advance then we can send you a rough outline, no problem.
WHAT IF I’M NERVOUS?
It might be a bit daunting if you’ve never been a guest on a podcast before but there’s no need to be nervous. Honestly! Previous guests have described it like ‘having a coffee and chat with a friend’. We won’t be asking any difficult questions and we certainly won’t be trying to catch you out!
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
You’ll need to set aside 45mins to 1 hour. We normally start with a quick hello before getting into the actual recording and we always end with a friendly goodbye once we’ve finished recording.
A good internet connection is essential for us to be able to have a conversation without missing chunks of audio. We don’t need huge internet speeds; anything over about 3mb/s will be great.
SKYPE / ZOOM
We usually connect with our guests via Skype or Zoom so if you have either of those then we can record the chat a lot easier. We always start with our video on so we can say hi ‘in person’ but then we normally knock the video off so we can get the best out of our internet.
WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?
In advance of us talking, we’ll need you to send us a short bio – a little bit about who you are and your story – how does your story fit with our Living Life Differently podcast? We’ll also need a picture of you that we can use on the podcast marketing materials. A good head shot is ideal.
WHEN WILL MY EPISODE BE RELEASED?
We normally record a couple of weeks ahead of release date. When we do the recording, we can normally give you a planned date of release.
ANY OTHER QUESTIONS?
If there’s something you need to know that we haven’t covered then get in touch.
